Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 July 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service apply when you visit www.thatsnotart.co.uk, use our website or purchase products from us.
The website and store are operated by [YOUR LEGAL NAME], trading as That’s Not Art. Throughout these terms, “That’s Not Art”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this store.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and any policies referenced within them, including our Refund & Return Policy, Privacy Policy and Shipping Policy.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
2. Contact information

Legal name: [YOUR FULL LEGAL OR REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME]
Email: [YOUR CUSTOMER-SERVICE EMAIL]
Business address: [YOUR BUSINESS ADDRESS]
Website: www.thatsnotart.co.uk
Company number: [IF APPLICABLE]

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
You must provide accurate, complete and current information when placing an order. You are responsible for checking your delivery address, product selection, size, colour and personalisation details before completing your purchase.
4. Products and artwork
That’s Not Art sells original artwork presented through products including clothing, posters, prints and related merchandise.
We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, photographs, colours, measurements and sizing information accurately. However:
-
Colours may appear differently depending on your screen and display settings.
-
Printed colours may vary slightly from their digital appearance.
-
Product measurements may have small manufacturing tolerances.
-
The position, scale or finish of a printed design may vary slightly between individual products.
-
Packaging may differ from that shown on the website.
These reasonable production variations will not normally be considered faults. This does not affect your rights where a product is materially different from its description, faulty or not of satisfactory quality.
You should review the relevant size guide before ordering clothing. Responsibility for selecting the correct size remains with the customer, subject to any applicable statutory return rights.
5. Print-on-demand production
Some of our products are produced specifically after an order is placed. We may use carefully selected third-party production and fulfilment partners to manufacture, print, package or dispatch products on our behalf.
The use of a production partner does not affect your contract with That’s Not Art or your statutory consumer rights.
An item being produced after an order is placed does not automatically make it personalised or exempt from statutory cancellation rights. The personalised-product exception applies only where an item is made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you.
6. Personalised and custom-made products
Where personalised or custom-made products are available, you are responsible for checking all names, text, images, measurements and other information submitted with your order.
You confirm that you have permission to use any text, photograph, artwork, logo or other material you provide to us. You must not submit material that:
-
Infringes another person’s copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights.
-
Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or defamatory.
-
Contains harmful, fraudulent or misleading material.
-
Promotes illegal activity.
We may refuse or cancel a custom order that breaches these requirements. If production has not begun, any payment for the refused product will be refunded.
Clearly personalised products or goods made to your individual specifications cannot normally be returned because you have changed your mind. They remain protected if faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.
7. Placing an order
Products displayed on our website are an invitation to place an order and do not guarantee that we will accept it.
After placing an order, you should receive an automated order acknowledgement. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean it has been accepted.
A contract is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted or dispatched, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order where:
-
A product is unavailable.
-
Payment cannot be authorised.
-
The price or product information contains an obvious error.
-
We cannot deliver to the address provided.
-
We reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised activity or resale.
-
The order breaches these Terms of Service.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.
8. Order changes and the 24-hour cancellation window
You have 24 hours from the time your order is placed to request a cancellation or ask for changes to your order.
After this 24-hour period, the order may have entered production and we cannot guarantee that it can be cancelled, changed or stopped before dispatch.
For clearly personalised or custom-made products, this 24-hour period is the voluntary cancellation window we provide before production. Once that period has passed and production has begun, the order cannot normally be cancelled because you have changed your mind.
For standard, non-personalised products, the 24-hour production rule does not remove any cancellation or return rights provided by applicable consumer law.
To request a cancellation or amendment, contact [YOUR CUSTOMER-SERVICE EMAIL] with your full name and order number.
9. Prices
All prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website.
Applicable taxes and delivery charges will be displayed before you complete your order. International customers may also be responsible for import duties, customs charges or local taxes imposed by their country.
We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
If we discover an obvious pricing error after an order is placed, we will contact you. You may choose to proceed at the correct price or cancel the affected order for a full refund.
10. Payments
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
Payments may be processed by Shopify or another third-party payment provider. We do not directly store complete payment-card details.
You confirm that:
-
You are authorised to use the selected payment method.
-
The information you provide is accurate.
-
Sufficient funds or credit are available to complete the purchase.
Your use of a third-party payment service may also be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
11. Discount codes and promotions
Discount codes and promotional offers:
-
Must be used before their stated expiry date.
-
Cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
Cannot normally be applied retrospectively.
-
Cannot be combined unless we specifically state otherwise.
-
May be restricted to certain products, customers or locations.
We may withdraw or correct a promotion where it has been published in error, used fraudulently or abused.
Your statutory rights are not affected by a discount or sale price.
12. Delivery
Available delivery options, estimated times and charges will be shown during checkout or explained in our Shipping Policy.
Delivery times are estimates unless we expressly agree to a guaranteed date. Print-on-demand products may require production time before dispatch.
If we cannot deliver within the agreed period, or within 30 days where no different period has been agreed, you may have the right to cancel in accordance with applicable consumer law.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us immediately if you discover an error. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order enters production or dispatch.
Risk in the goods passes to you when the order is delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive it. Ownership passes once we have received full payment.
13. International orders
International orders may be subject to customs inspections, import duties, taxes and handling charges.
Unless stated otherwise during checkout, these charges are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or delivery price.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities. You are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered can lawfully be imported into your destination country.
14. Returns, refunds and faulty products
Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Return Policy and applicable consumer law.
For eligible standard products purchased online, UK consumers will normally have the right to notify us of a change-of-mind cancellation within 14 days of receiving the goods and then return them within a further 14 days.
Clearly personalised products and goods made to individual specifications are generally excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights.
All products, including personalised products, remain protected where they are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.
Please contact [YOUR CUSTOMER-SERVICE EMAIL] before returning any product. Do not send a return directly to a manufacturer or print partner unless we instruct you to do so.
15. Website accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for:
-
Keeping your login information confidential.
-
Providing accurate and current information.
-
Activity performed through your account.
-
Informing us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend or close an account if it is used fraudulently, unlawfully or in breach of these terms.
16. Acceptable use
You must not use our website:
-
For any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
-
To introduce viruses, malware or harmful code.
-
To interfere with the website’s operation or security.
-
To collect information about other users without permission.
-
To impersonate another person or provide false information.
-
To place fraudulent orders or misuse payment methods.
-
To scrape, copy or reproduce website content without permission.
-
To infringe our rights or the rights of another person.
We may restrict access to the website where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
17. Intellectual property
All original artwork, illustrations, designs, photographs, graphics, logos, product names, written content and other material displayed on this website are owned by or licensed to That’s Not Art.
Purchasing a product gives you ownership of the physical item only. It does not transfer copyright, trade mark rights or permission to commercially reproduce the artwork.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, trace, distribute, manufacture, sell, license, upload or commercially use our artwork or website content without prior written permission.
Unauthorised use of our artwork may result in legal action.
18. Reviews and submitted content
If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content to us, you confirm that:
-
The content is accurate and based on your genuine experience.
-
You own it or have permission to share it.
-
It does not infringe another person’s rights.
-
It is not unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, misleading or defamatory.
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display and reproduce that content for operating and promoting That’s Not Art. We will not claim ownership of your original content.
We may remove submitted content that breaches these terms or applicable law.
19. Third-party services and links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services supplied by Shopify, payment providers, delivery companies, production partners or other businesses.
We are not responsible for the independent content, availability, privacy practices or terms of third-party websites. You should review their policies before using their services.
Nothing in this section reduces our responsibility for your order or your statutory rights.
20. Website availability
We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may temporarily suspend, update or change the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons.
We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, provided that this does not exclude any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
-
Breach of your statutory consumer rights.
-
Any other matter that cannot legally be excluded.
We supply products for private and personal use. If you use a product for commercial, business or resale purposes, we will not be responsible for business losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity or business interruption, to the extent permitted by law.
22. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to process payments, manufacture products, deliver orders, prevent fraud, provide customer support or comply with the law.
23. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes to our business, website, products or legal obligations.
The terms applying to your purchase will be those in force when your order is placed. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
24. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
25. No waiver
If we delay enforcing any part of these terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.
26. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
International customers may also benefit from mandatory rights under the laws of their country of residence.
